Will Connections Performance Measurement be ready for the implementation of MDS 3.0 on October 1, 2010?
Absolutely!
How are MDS files stored once they are transmitted to Connections Performance Measurement?
MDS files are stored on a secure server not accessible to anyone but developers who are authorized to access the data to produce your reports.
How long does Connections Performance Measurement keep MDS records it receives?
Unless a record needs to be removed due to a correction or other exception, the records remain in the database.
What information do we as users have access to? Can we view a full assessment? Who can view it?
Subscribers cannot view a full assessment in Connections Performance Measurement. However, many parts of the MDS are viewable in reports some of which feature whole sections. As stated before the only persons who can view the entire assessment are authorized developers.

What is Connections Performance Measurement, and how can it help me?
Connections Performance Measurement is a measurement system. The purpose of using our system of reports and online worksheets, as well as publications and tutorials, is to help nursing facilities and health care professionals to be in compliance with State regulations.
Can I use data from past MDS's in Connections Performance Measurement, or am I limited to using only those MDS's which are created after becoming a member?
You are not limited to current MDS data. You can use old MDS files which you have submitted to the State to create a history record with Connections Performance Measurement. Simply submit these files to us after becoming a member, and you'll soon have access to a variety of reports after a brief processing period.
Will my reports be sent to me?
Except under extreme circumstances no reports are actually mailed to you. However, your reports are available to you at any time through the Connections Performance Measurement website. After logging in to our secure website, you are given access to all reports available to your facility.
Some of my reports don't seem to be current. How often do my reports get updated?
Depending on the number of facilities submitting files during a given time period, your facility reports will be updated in a little as 10-15 minutes or as long as 24 hours if a large amount of data has been received.
How can I tell if my MDS upload was successful?
A successful MDS upload will result in a verification box which will display the name of the file, the number of records submitted and the date the upload was received. We recommend that the verification box be printed for your records. Also, you can check the Batch Status Reports to see detailed information of uploaded files.
